Jingshan Gongzao

Jingshan Gongzao(green jujube as a royal tribute) has a long history. According to legend, Zhu Yuanzhang, Taizu of the Ming Dynasty once passed by this place when he tried to put down the rebellion in the Central Plains. His subordinate presented the Gongzao to him. Zhu Yuanzhang, also known as Emperor Hongwu, tasted the jujube, which is sweet and delicious. Then, he ordered the local people to pick the jujube before the Mid-Autumn Festival every year and present it as a royal tribute. Since then, Gongzao has been planted by the local people from one generation to another and up to today. Together with Jingshan Qiaomi, it has long been a royal tribute throughout the dynasties.
